Getting started

Here's everything you should know before you reach out to book a session.

Booking a session

A typical session requires an upfront booking fee. You can change the date of your session with two weeks' notice, provided that we are not renting a place to shoot or booking specialists for hair or makeup.

Your session lasts up to 2 hours, and you can change your wardrobe up to 4 times.

Before you can book a session, we need to meet to decide whether we will work well together.

Schedule a 15-minute consultation to get the process started.

We'll meet over Zoom or in person to get to know each other.

It's not only important that our creative vision aligns, but that we also find it easy to communicate with each other.

We'll discuss things like:

  • The session type
  • Your goals or expectations
  • Suggested printed products
  • Pricing

You'll receive reminders and suggestions for what to bring or wear for your session.

This is also your time to ask questions and make special requests about the types of shots you'd like.

Remember, we want this to be a great experience, and a little bit of planning effort really goes a long way towards making that achievable!

I'll give you constant feedback and take notes on which shots you like most.

Please note that I will not touch you to adjust your hair or wardrobe. I respect your personal space.

Your comfort is the most important thing for a successful session. Don't wear uncomfortable clothing, and make sure you say something if you aren't feeling the scene or pose.

The camera takes better photos when you are feeling good, and I'll show you some of the best shots throughout our session.

Part of what makes this experience different is that you are not given a gallery of images after the shoot.

You'll have the opportunity to review edited images and select them for purchase in a variety of print formats about two weeks after your session. We'll have a reveal presentation on the calendar!

Anything you purchase is made to order and delivered within 4-6 weeks. Your purchase will also come with a digital file perfect for use online.
